Broader trends in society

The world of the public sector does not stand still. Trend-sensitivity, specialized know-how and a broad view of new developments are therefore key concepts here. “That’s where the difference we want to make from Cipal Schaubroeck lies,” sums up Kirsten Cuvelier of Cipal Schaubroeck. “I think it’s important that our employees, in addition to their in-depth knowledge, are also with the broader trends in society. The more alert we are to emerging innovations, the better we can assist our customers with future-proof answers. A proactive approach is in our DNA. With Info Support’s training courses, we keep our finger on the pulse.”

Proactive at the right time

It is precisely this proactive attitude that Cipal Schaubroeck shares with Info Support. “Info Support came knocking on our door at the right time,” says Kirsten Cuvelier of Cipal Schaubroeck. We had already received training from them in the past. Just when our team was looking to get started with Docker, a container platform, Info Support offered support. Two team members out of a team of seventeen were already familiar with the platform, but many questions were still circulating. I wanted to dispel the doubts and immerse the entire team in the subject matter. The goal of the basic training was to remove those initial barriers and get everyone familiar with Docker.”

Successful training sessions

What followed was an introductory meeting between Info Support and Cipal Schaubroeck where the specific needs of the group were first identified. This conversation formed the framework for what eventually became two training sessions. Both developers and system testers participated. The session included questions on how to package applications in a container, how to automate the process of a container and how to tackle more complex applications with Docker-compose. Thanks to the positive impact, the first session was also quickly followed up. “The first training was received so positively that we soon decided to organize a second one. That one filled up in no time.”

The instructor interacted smoothly with the group each time. She was able to respond well to the right level of prior knowledge. You immediately notice that Info Support is not just about theory. They know what they are talking about and how it works in practice.

Big step forward with Docker

Meanwhile, Docker is part of the team’s ready knowledge. Kirsten Cuvelier of Cipal Schaubroeck adds: “We have taken a big step forward. I also notice that our people are trying out new things faster with the platform. They feel familiar enough with it to get started with specialized questions. That was also the goal: to remove the initial hesitation.”

Inspiration session on AI

The training on Docker was followed by another inspiration session on AI. From the follow-up conversations, it soon became clear that Cipal Schaubroeck was also interested in the opportunities offered by this technology. “This was another good collaboration in which Info Support thought along with us about our specific question. This time it was more of an inspiration session so we are up to speed with the latest AI developments. Info Support keeps us on our toes!”
